Level 4 · About 4 hours

Confident Companion

You will handle multi-step requests and sort out small problems yourself.

At this point you are no longer asking single questions. You are giving an assistant a job with several parts, and you fix things when they go sideways.

What this level covers

  1. Requests with several parts

“Read this letter, tell me what it wants, and draft a reply refusing politely.” All in one go.

  2. Creative projects

Writing a family history, making cards, putting together a photo album with captions.

  3. Money tools

Setting up bill reminders and account monitoring, and the difference between information and advice.

  4. Connection

Video calls, shared albums, and group messages that include everyone.

  5. Fixing it yourself

The five things that go wrong most often, and what to do about each one before calling anybody.

  6. Habits that keep you safe

What never to type into an assistant. What a scam using AI looks like now.

Try it yourself

Three short exercises. There is nothing to submit and nobody is marking them.

  • Give an assistant a three-part request and check that it did all three.
  • Write one page of your family history with help, and send it to a relative.
  • Set up one financial alert and confirm it arrives.
Still being made Video tutorials, step-by-step screenshots, and the printable “Troubleshooting — one page, large print” cheat sheet are in production for this level. In the meantime, the written steps above stand on their own, and the two finished guides are ready to print today.
